About the author: My name is Nhi Nguyen and I am Vietnamese. I have just graduated from high school. Now, I am taking part in an English course at ESLI. After I finish this course, I will apply to the University of Wisconsin-Superior. My hobbies are traveling and listening to music.

Last week, I had a great opportunity to participate in an ESLI field trip with my friends and my teachers. We went to pick apples at the Apple Hill Orchard, which made me so happy because this is the first time I have ever seen an apple orchard in real life. My hometown does not have them. I tried many kinds of apples, which was awesome. My friend, Shannon, and I had a basket full of apples.

Picking apples is my new valuable experience in America. It helps me feel better and fun. Moreover, I realize that studying abroad is not boring and full of homesickness since I have made a lot of new friends and have met many friendly people at UWS as well as at ESLI. Even when we study far away from our homes, we are never feeling lonely and isolated.

ESLI Centers in the United States are accredited by CEA.
